Phil is a graduate or Brigham Young University with a degree in Construction Management. With over 20 years experience, Phil has had the opportunity to work on some of Utah’s biggest projects. Defining integrity and quality coupled with a vision for detail are hallmarks of Matrix and have set Phil and his team apart from his peers.

Steve Hewett

Steve holds a Construction Management degree from Brigham Young University. Steve has built well over 100 custom homes and some of the largest commercial projects in the State. Steve has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry and has seen just about everything there is to know. His knowledge, ability to value-engineer, and think outside the box mentality have helped both his clients’ and his projects succeed. People would tell you about Steve that "He really does love his job and construction."

Mathew Cluff

Matthew is a graduate with a Master of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Since graduating he has worked in audit but has focused on taxation and business development. In 2014 Matt launched an accounting firm to provide tax preparation services to individuals and businesses. As part of his practice, Matt has advised on human capital, business processes, cash flow, and sales and marketing. He has served as acting CFO and Controller for multi-million-dollar startup, providing leadership on all financial operations and advising owners on strategic financing plans to increase net capital and net funding.

Tony has been with Matrix for 4 years, leading the commercial door division. With an extensive background in construction spanning various trades, Tony has both the vision and management experience to successfully complete any project.

Efrain Diaz

Efrain Diaz

CFO Accounting

Efrain has worked in many aspects of construction and related fields. He has extensive experience in property management, building operations and management of trades and field crews to execute the clients needs while they are away. Efrain will manage a property post construction to insure the property and its mechanics, systems and security are maintained. He has lead operations on some of Utah largest outdoor malls and has learned to meet and work with clients and tenants to provide a quality service level.

Nathan Powley

Sales and Marketing

Nate has worked in the construction industry for the last 10 years working in the concrete and finish carpentry trade. With the invaluable experience while working have learned what it takes to create an amazing project. He has worked as an estimator bidding projects and understanding the cost of building projects. Nate is a real estate agent and developer with a skill in locating properties and doing the analysis needed to learn whether a commercial or residential investment property is viable.
