Amangiri Resort Hotel and Spa, Canyon Point, UT

Located in Canyon Point, Ut this one of a kind resort was built on just over 600 acres nestled in the canyons of beautiful Southern Utah. Taking just over 18 months to build, this project encompassed flawless design and engineering with a tightly managed schedule to produce a masterpiece in the desert. With 44 luxury suites, as well as grand 4 bedroom mesa home, this resort is at the pinnacle of Modern Design mixed with natural undeveloped beauty of the surrounding landscape. With a mixture of white stones, concrete walls, natural timbers and woods, and black steel make this luxury resort a one of a kind.

Education

Young Scholars Academy, Draper, UT 3000 sf

Young Scholars academy is located in Draper, Ut. Retail buildout located on 12300 south 100 west ,just west of the I-15 corridor. Ideal location suited for this type of business which suits a easy drop off pick up location for parents who travel the I-15 corridor to and from work. Approximately 3000 sf , this project took 90 days total to build from permitting to completion.

Sierra College, Rocklin, CA, 15,000 sf

Located in Rocklin, California, approximately 20 minutes from Sacramento. At $1.5 million this design build took 6 months from initial groundbreaking to completion. Situated within an existing natural watershed, great care was taken during the site preparation as not to disturb or corrupt its natural existence. Encompassing natural woods with modern steel, this mix of modern contemporary with rustic design gained approval of the most hardened naturalist. The building is used as a mixed space with both classrooms and student common areas encompassing the same area.

Healthcare

IHC Hospital Core Lab, Murray, Ut, 46,000 sf

Central Laboratory for the IHC Health Network of Hospitals built in 2008. This facility is a central processing lab that analyzes and process lab samples for all Hospitals in the IHC network. With over 46,000sf of space of which 33,000 is lab space, 11,000sf of offices single and mixed use with the rest used as Admin/Common areas. Start to finish this project took 1 year to build with the follow on commissioning of the Laboratory.

Hill Air Force Base Igloo Project

Federal Government project located on Hill Air Force Base. Confidentiality requires that cost, actual location and build time, remain undisclosed.

Government/State

Evanston Roundhouse, Evanston, WY, Historic preservation

Historic remodel of Evanston roundhouse located in Evanston Wyoming. 1890’s era building that was turned over to the city of Evanston to be utilized as city offices/ community gathering place. Seismic remodel along with build out of space with the challenge of keeping the integrity of the internal design from it’s original era. This project took 16 months from Design review and permitting to substantial completion.

Restaurant/Quick Serve

Yogurtland, Nationwide, 1500 sf

Nationwide Yogurt chain with over 312 locations. Matrix is considered a tier one contractor for construction of all new properties and remodels. This unique California based chain specializes in quality products and clean design within its stores. Great care is utilized in developing properties as footprints of spaces may change from location to location. With all manner of general construction left to the contractor, overall partnership with corporate is key too making these build-outs successful. Utilizing a 5-week schedule from start to finish, these builds present 0% schedule deficiency requirement.

Retail

Lululemon Corporate Clothing store, Park City, UT 2200 sf

Located on Historic Main Street in downtown Park City, Utah. This Canadian-based athletic company focuses on clean urban designs for its stores. With a 60-day build time from start to finish, this project was finished on time which allowed tenant to occupy the space earlier than expected and begin retail operations.

Health & Fitness

Title Boxing Club (Cottonwood Heights & Sugarhouse)

Two different locations with in Salt Lake City, Ut. Tenant improvement with a 5000sf buildout which had special requirements for reenforcement of above grid/ceiling to facilitate the hanging of punching bags. Urban design with a mix of natural woods and engineered flooring. This project took 45 days from permitting to completion.
